Matt graduated from Kansas State University in 2009 with a degree in Business Administration, focusing on Finance and Economics. He relocated to Kansas City in 2014, where he worked in the kitchens of some of the city's premier fine-dining establishments.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and dog, as well as endurance training, cooking, and working on home improvement projects.
